"You can dance! You've got to free your feet to free your mind. Let it go."
-as heard while watching
the 2009 film
"The Men Who Stare at Goats"
And another tune that makes me want to dance is "Dancing With Myself".

Wednesday
Well, Chris did NOT spend the night. He left my place at about 11PM last night.
Chris said, "Yeah, I met a lawyer through Clay and we are meeting up at that B Street bar in San Mateo."
"Oh, that sounds great," I said, thinking it sounded rather strange.
Chris claims that nothing has happened between him and the lawyer but I know better.
Chris also mentioned some muscle man that his mom hired to work around the condominium building as a handyman.
"I thought he was fat...but then he took his jacket off and I noticed all of his muscles. Wow."
"Really? So did anything happen?"
"No, not yet...but I do thing he's definitely questionable. He says he wants to become a priest."
We both laughed.
Chris and I continued to catch up on things. His sister, Paula, is now six months along with her pregnancy. When Chris did leave it was a bit awkward. He looked at me strangely as if 'give me a kiss man'. It didn't happen. Strange. He left. I was to call him today; however, I was too busy at work. I simply forgot.
It's hard to avoid Steffanie Redding because she calls me so often.
"I just want you to know I sent you a couple of Valentine's," Steffanie said.
I got the 'okay' from Stephanie Bautista on the two days off in March. Dale and I can now officially make plans to go to Vegas to see Joan Rivers. That will be so much fun. Dale and I are becoming really good friends. We ate lunch together again on Market Street in front of a garbage can.
Dale said, "That garbage can gets a lot of visitors."
He makes me laugh. Laughing is so healthy, so he is an important person for me to know. Besides Dale's sense of humor he seems to have a lot of connections. He is informative and I like being 'in the know'.
"Shirley Hastings passed the ASR test and starts the new job next Tuesday," Dale said informatively.
"Oh, my supervisor, Pat, made a scene with Larry about Stephanie giving you two days off without pay."
"You're kidding. Really?"
"Yes, but Larry put him in his place when he said that attendance and advanced notice plays a key role in okay-ing that kind of request."
"Gee, it's a good thing my attendance is perfect. There's no question there."
I received a Wilkes-Bashford Fashion Show invitation today. I invited Paloma to accompany me because she is so high-fashion conscience herself. I feel so comfortable in her company. I also asked Paloma out for Valentine's Dinner. We are going to Hamburger Mary's in The City followed by dancing at The Oasis. And then I asked her about an outing on February twenty-third (to the Galleria for that office Pac Bell thing). Amazing. All of it will be fun. Her company always lights things up. I only wish we'd f%$@#k one day soon!
I got a neat Valentine from Jim Koran.
He wrote, "I may be coming up there the third week of March."
Of course, that is when I will be in Las Vegas. Oh no! Time will tell. Jim did like the shirts I sent him. It made me feel good to read these words by him: "Your package was one of the nicest and best parts of my birthday."
I liked his Happy Valentine's Day card, too: "From the Bottom of My Heart".
It would be just my luck that Jim would be planning a trip up here now that I have a roommate. Maybe Marty will go to Sacramento that weekend. I am looking forward to seeing Him again. I have mentioned Jim to my friends Steffanie, Dale, and Paloma. And of course, Chris already knew of him, so that's that.
Steffanie called me last night as I had just arrived home from the gym. I felt stupid at the gym because I forgot my tennis shoes...but that didn't stop me from working out. I spent some extra time in the jacuzzi, too.
I received another postcard from actress, Brenda Dickson, of 'The Young & The Restless'. I am trying to arrange a lunch date with her when I go up to Los Angeles again. The only thing is that all she writes in her cards are a couple of sentences. She avoids my main question. I am not giving up. I will continue to write and see where it goes.
I cannot wait to go to the post Wilkes-Bashford Fashion Show with Paloma. We will show up the models on February 22nd.
Dale says he is dying to get his hands on my journals.
I told him, "There is no way! I have to keep some things confidential."
I have already shared 'over my limit' with him.
Ryan Hargrave and Ron Shelly are going on a trip to Puerto Vallarta on February 23rd. That ought to be fun for them. I was wondering why Ryan looks so tan lately. I learned that he has been making frequent visits to a tanning booth. I am anxious to see the pictures I took of Ryan and Ron and the rest of the group on Diana Ross night.
Ryan made a slight flirtatious remark about going to the X-rated video store again.
"I'm all for it," I said.
Maybe I will mention it to him again without Dale around. Dale always likes to be in on every little thing. Dale's favorite two words are, "Tell me!"
Dale can be quite overbearing at times. I don't mind checking out the scene with Ryan. He makes me laugh, so I think he is healthy for me. I need to laugh. Dale continues to make me laugh. Paloma is also a blast in the laughing department. As for Steffanie, well, she is still so much of a mystery.
