All That Glitters

Posted on 07:35 by Unknown
I think it was Teasdale who wrote,
'Nothing worth possessing is ever quite possessed'.
The line was stolen from STRATO, the Indo-Greek King, and had to do with male lovers.

-Nial Kent
"The Divided Path"

All That Glitters was a show about how the world would be if women ruled, and men had to obey everything they said. The show featured satire-like humor. It was a short-lived comedy that was on from April 1977 through July 1977.

I had a flashback to this show after recently meeting one of the cast members at a Birthday Party. I wish they would do a new 21st Century version because this show was so ‘ahead of its time’.

I would be fascinated to know if anyone else out there in the cyber world had ever had the opportunity to watch the show. The Wikipedia link below gives more insight about the show.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_That_Glitters_(TV_series)
I would love to watch the episodes again. If they ever become available on DVD I shall be first in line to watch again.

I remember actress, Linda Gray, played a transsexual on the show. It was so shocking to see this storyline at the time. She was so utterly feminine that it really freaked me out. She went on to become ultra-famous as the character of Sue Ellen in the hit TV show, DALLAS. I could not find any video clips of ‘All That Glitters’ to share except for this tidbit of 30 seconds or so:

Tuesday

At 7:10AM (or so) I heard a tapping knock on the side of my car window. It was ‘pillow talk’ Paula. She had this ‘little five-year old’ girl voice that was too cute, yet annoying at the same time. I easily woke up to her voice and went inside the ‘Stanley smelling’ house with her. I ended up lying on the couch while her roommate/friend got ready for work. Dealing with the odor of Stanley was not easy.

Chris awoke finally. We were hanging out in the backyard a bit later when Paula arrived with a friend named “Nigel”. I was so excited to meet “Nigel” because I was so into a song by XTC called “Making Plans for Nigel”. I had never met a Nigel before.
http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=nigel%2C+song&docid=1043608764473&mid=7C458B4CA184ADAE797F7C458B4CA184ADAE797F&FORM=VIVR28#

I was taken aback a bit when Paula and Nigel arrived with marijuana and she began to roll joints as if she was making a salad (something she probably does relatively often, maybe?). No wonder she has a five-year old girls’ voice! I actually took a hit or two. Heck…who in their right mind was going to come into this mosquito infested back yard?

I had no real effect from my hits of the marijuana. Chris was being very non-talkative with me. He even made that snarl that I cannot stand to see.

I imagine I was the same way because I just have not felt close to him ever since the ‘coming on to Wayne’ incident. I won’t even mention the possible touching of Paul’s’ hand that Paul had expressed to me.

In addition, Chris’ talk about Ron and Grant are just too much for me to listen to any longer. Chris had said during the drive down, “I’m afraid of Grant now because he sent me this letter that sounded so serious and mushy. It’s too much to handle.”

PHOTO: September 11, 1984
The Chris Cordellos snarl, Venice, CA

When we met Nigel I found the XTC song ‘Making Plans for Nigel’ on one of my compilation cassette tapes for him to hear. He really liked it. He had never heard a song with his name. Nigel is quite black (darker than most) and I neglected to ask where he was from. Chris and I hoped that Paula was not involved with him. I guess we just couldn’t imagine that…but who knows? I took a few photographs this morning even though Paula was not very responsive to the camera.

Chris and I drove to Rodeo Drive and I bought mom some Lagerfeld perfume ($65) at Saks Fifth Avenue. We enjoyed lunch at the Café Rodeo. Then I surprised Chris by checking-in to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
“I’m not sleeping on a beach, a back yard or a car tonight!” I screeched.
It was $143 per night. I did not care. I needed comfort. We showered and had fun in the hotel. Before long, it was time to get ready to ‘go out’. We pranced over to RAGE, the gay night-club by 10PM or so.

This time I met a new chap (while Chris was dancing alone on the dance floor) named Jim Koran. Jim had a biblical sort of look with long blond tresses that I found to be rather sexy.

I also met a guy named Roland from El Salvador. I also recognized a fellow that I had seen at the Gucci Store on Rodeo Drive. This guy gave me ‘the eye’. There were a few others that touched my rear end ‘without my consent’, too. It was so crowded it was hard to see who was doing 'what' when one is merely trying to walk through the pack.

I found Jim Koran to be such a good-looking blond "long-hair". I had a very good talk with him because he did not seem to be the dancing type. We exchanged telephone numbers and addresses. I explained that I lived in Northern California.
“I will write to you,” I said.

Jim seemed to be such a nice guy. I guess I would like him to come up to visit me in Northern California, too. Why not?

Chris ended up disappearing to some party with a ‘black chick’, some guy named Jermaine and some other dude. At least that was the mini-report he gave me as I was conversing with Jim Koran.

By 1:30pm (or so) I simply left and went back to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel where it was clean, beautiful and quiet. I got a little lost finding the Hotel but then again ‘what else is new’. We all get a little lost in life, don’t we?

I went to bed thinking of that cool, black Gucci travel bag that I saw today.
I thought silently, “I’m going to buy that bag tomorrow!”

I was kind of pissed off that Chris Cordellos never returned to the Hotel. I ended up calling Jim Koran at 3AM and invited him to lunch tomorrow via his voice recorder. Jim had given me his card and I still recall the voluptuousness of the few kisses we exchanged in the corner of the crowded nightclub before he left for the night. Jim is too cool. His friend, Randy, on-the-other hand was nice but NMT (Not My Type).

The Descriptive Sentence

Posted on 10:24 by Unknown

"Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it."
-Francis Bacon, artist
as heard in the 1998
film 'Love Is The Devil'

The following is on page 6 of the 'Te Matare Ramirez'
Restaurante menu in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Now Don Rigoberto had his eyes half-closed and it was as if all his energy had fled from the rest of his body and had taken refuge in his reproductive and nasal organs, his nostrils inhaling Dona Lucrecia's honeysuckle.

And as the warm and dense perfume, reminiscent of musk, incense, soaked cabbage, anise, fish in vinegar, opening violets, sweat of a virgin girl, reaches his brain like a vegetal fragrance of sulfurous lava arousing his desire, his nose, now sensitive, was also able to feel that beloved bush, the viscous brush of that slit of burning lips, the tickle of that moist fleece whose silky threads excited his nostrils, further enhancing the effect of vaporous narcotic that the body of his lover offered him.

The above line is what I call 'The Descriptive Sentence'. Amazing!

Friday

The manager on-duty, Deborah Smith, said she could probably arrange for me to get out of work at 3PM today. At lunchtime Helen and my brother, Tony, walked with me to Tony's car in order to retrieve my luggage for my weekend escape. I was able to leave the office at 3PM; whereas, I hopped on a Downtown Oakland BART station, taking me to Daly City. I spoke to some high school chick I remembered named Tammy while on the train.

I arrived at the San Francisco Airport around 5:15PM. I ate a Host Cheeseburger and enjoyed a cocktail in the lounge area. The flight left precisely at 8:15PM and I arrived in Arcata, California before 8:45PM. It seemed like the quickest flight ever!

Chris Cordellos was waiting to greet me at the Arcata/Eureka Airport. Who knew there was an airport in this vicinity? I met Chris' roommate, Barbara and his friend and fellow Coast Guard cohort, Jim Severn. We all went partying, drinking and talking at the Old Town Bar & Grill and The Central Station to see and hear The Lee Brothers performance. We ate eggs and bacon afterward, wrapping up the late night with breakfast conversation.

Chris gave me a 'friends forever' medal. I appreciated his thoughtfulness. Tomorrow we will go to The Samoa Cookhouse, a Historic Restaurant.

I love Chris. And Barbara is so "cool".

For the Coffee Connoisseur

Posted on 11:22 by Unknown
“Why don't you have a cup of coffee at least?
I, um, I'm a little low in sugar and I don't have any cream,
but it's real coffee.”

-Barbra Streisand

I received a postcard dated March 11, 2009 from Netherlands with a photo of a coffee cup. It had a 'scratch n' sniff' and included these Dutch words:
Kom je op de koffie? The backside of the postcard stated the following:

Hi Michael!
A postcard from Holland! Just scratch the coffee and then smell it. Lovely, huh? Coffee is one of my big passions! i couldn't do without. I've heard that American coffee is really bad, is that so? Enjoy your coffee!
Cheers,
Cindy

I sent Cindy an electronic mail that went something like 'American coffee is pretty BAD unless you know where to shop for the GOOD beans'. Cindy's postcard inspired me to write about my three favorite coffees. Today I share them with you:

1. Torrefazione Italia Perugia Blend-
Medium roast, full body, smooth and rich!
http://www.titalia.com/site/default.aspx

2. PEETS Coffee
a. a mix of beans-half Italian Roast + half Major Dickason's Blend
b. a mix of beans-half French Roast + half Major Dickason's Blend
(PEETS French Roast-
The darkest roast. An intense, bold coffee with pronounced smoky overtones.
Major Dickason's Blend-
Our most famous blend. Combines the best coffees from the world's premier coffee-growing regions. Very full-bodied, complex, rich, and smooth.
PEETS Italian Roast-
Intense; blended from the fullest-bodied, most flavorful coffees from the Pacific and Latin America.)

http://www.peets.com/shop/coffee.asp

3. Verona Blend, Starbucks
Caffè Verona is a seductive blend of beans from Latin America and Indonesia, with a gentle touch of Italian Roast lending depth, soul and sweetness.

ALWAYS buy the coffee beans and grind them just before preparation for the freshest, dreamy cup.

Of course, if you're in ITALY...always go to the coffee bar for the best 'cappuccini' in the world. That's the BEST.

This morning I took a zip quick bike ride to mom's. I ate breakfast and continued on my ride to the Fruitvale BART station. I transported my bike into San Francisco and did some brisk riding in and around Golden Gate Park until about 3:30PM. I discovered the velodrome. The continuous circling was boring but invigorating. I cruised on over to Foster Freeze for a Root Beer float.

When I returned to Alameda I went to mom's and made another Root Beer float. I deserved it after all of that riding.

John and Sherri told me that Chris Cordellos had called me. I called him and he told me he was going to dinner with his mother. I slept. Then Chris called me back and discussed the notion of going to see a movie. We were going to see 'Splash' but we ended up at The Black Angus in Walnut Creek for drinks and browsing. The imitation Live Band was a 'sorry' experience after our recent concert escape.

Chris made some true confessions.
"I have to tell you that I had a St. Patrick's Day party at my place. It was so 'LIVE'," Chris suddenly announced as we listened to the sorry music at The Black Angus.
"That's cool that you had so much fun," I said as I wondered why he hadn't told me before tonight.

We continued on to "The Hub", a small bar in the town of Walnut Creek. It is not welcomed by many, as you could imagine as it has a mix of gay and lesbian clientele. Those places kind of depress me. Chris' confessions continued at this bar.
"I've changed so much in the last two months since meeting you," Chris said happily.
I smiled at the news, thinking it a good thing.
"I backed out of a beach party just so I could see you tonight," Chris continued.
I started to have my own personal visions of a potential US Coast Guard beach party.

"Michael, last Thursday I was going to tell you that you deserve someone better than me."
"Why?" I asked.
"I decided not to say it because I would be 'knocking' myself," Chris revealed.
I listened, wondering what he was trying to say.
"We are both different in our opinions," Chris hesitated, "but we have the 'The Quake' tunes in common. And I just think I'm really wrong because we are compatible in a lot of ways."

Everybody Knows

Posted on 09:04 by Unknown

"There is a logic of colors, and it is with this alone, and not with the logic of the brain, that the painter should conform.
-Paul Cezanne

This weekend will be the 'Watchmen' Weekend. It's a sure fire WIN at the box-office. I'm not sure if I will be able to see it this weekend. I hope to. The timing is uncertain.

Another photographer pal named "Ena Lu" that I admire reminded me of a song by Leonard Cohen that I had forgotten about. I love the tune (Everybody Knows) and I chose to feature it here today.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_G0ImViRw8
PHOTO: 'What Water Gives' by Ena Lu
Ena Lu lives in Melbourne, Australia
Let's sing-a-long...
Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows that the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich
That's how it goes
Everybody knows
Everybody knows that the boat is leaking
Everybody knows that the captain lied
Everybody got this broken feeling
Like their father or their dog just died
Everybody talking to their pockets
Everybody wants a box of chocolates
And a long stem rose
Everybody knows
Everybody knows that you love me baby
Everybody knows that you really do
Everybody knows that you've been faithful
Ah give or take a night or two
Everybody knows you've been discreet
But there were so many people you just had to meet
Without your clothes
And everybody knows
Everybody knows, everybody knows
That's how it goes
Everybody knows
Everybody knows, everybody knows
That's how it goes
Everybody knows
And everybody knows that its now or never
Everybody knows that its me or you
And everybody knows that you live forever
Ah when you've done a line or two
Everybody knows the deal is rotten
Old black Joe's still pickin' cotton
For your ribbons and bows
And everybody knows
And everybody knows that the plague is coming
Everybody knows that its moving fast
Everybody knows that the naked man and woman
Are just a shining artifact of the past
Everybody knows the scene is dead
But there's gonna be a meter on your bed
That will disclose
What everybody knows
And everybody knows that you're in trouble
Everybody knows what you've been through
From the bloody cross on top of Calvary
To the beach of Malibu
Everybody knows its coming apart
Take one last look at this sacred heart
Before it blows
And everybody knows
Everybody knows, everybody knows
That's how it goes
Everybody knows
Oh everybody knows, everybody knows
That's how it goes
Everybody knows

Helen and I ate at "Fats". We discussed the mysterious Nadine given the fact that I have not met her face-to-face. We concluded the possibility of her being "Fat". Helen and I discussed how it is hard to find someone with all of the right qualities.

I attended my ART class this evening. It was 'okay'. And I mean 'just okay'. I am not too pleased with the class when I consider the $130 cost. My Communications Graphics class at Sacramento State was much better. This course will just have to do. It does break the monotony of my work week.

I was upset this morning to learn that Chris Cordellos was robbed at the High Street Shell Oil gas station at gunpoint by some "blood"! Outrageous!

After ART class I returned home and rapped on the phone with Nadine. She is really nice over the telephone. I am now wondering how "Fat" she may really be. We made plans for a movie and eats tomorrow night.

PHOTO: I saw this woman in NYC, reading a book (A Fiery Hint of Murder by C.F. Roe). I wonder if she has ulterior motives. Yikes! I looked for the book on amazon.com and it seems to be quite rare and not easily accessible (only used copies are available). It just made me wonder. I love a random, spontaneous slice-of-life candid. I must remember that it is always the innocent looking ones. You just NEVER KNOW.

Chris called me from Arcata, CA. Thanks to call waiting he interrupted my call with Nadine.
"I'm so glad to be back in Arcata," Chris said, "only I am not so glad because of you."
He's too kind. I am glad we toasted to everlasting friendship when I saw him last. I do recall toasting to that one before. However, I think 'with him' I feel truth and agreement.

The Divided Path

"If you expect too much of people you'll always be disappointed."
-as heard in
the 1949 film,
The Heiress

Twenty-five years ago

Tuesday, February 14, 1984

Today is Valentine's Day and I have to say it was a "blast". I had a great time at work, receiving a number of Valentine's from co-workers (Rose, Judy, Sonora and Don). The day had me in a 'good mood'. I gave Valentine's to all of the girls in the office.

My Art class was 'okay'. I learned 'paste-up'. I stopped at The Record Factory before class and bought a birthday card for Dave Vigil. He loved the card (it depicted a girl in a black bikini with the words 'Beat It').

My bicycle still "squeaks". I lubricated the chain with oil from my Dad's garage but it didn't get rid of the "squeaking". Oh well. I enjoyed some homemade stew at Mom & Dad's. I made it to my Art Class and didn't leave until 9:30pm.

I could have raided the skating rink in San Leandro on this Tuesday night but decided against it. It seriously crossed my mind. Instead I called Chris Cordellos at around 10:10pm and we talked until 1am.

We had a good 'sharing' talk. He complained of his $1400 balance on his MACY's bill, his "crabby" mothers' mood today and whether or not he should move in with his brother (in Sonoma) or go to New York in July. I made him feel better as I helped him to weigh his alternatives. He thinks I'm so "together". At least he keeps saying so. I suppose I should be flattered. I like Chris. He is too cool for words. I like his ambitious nature.

February 15, 1984

Dave Vigil really loved the birthday card I chose for him as he mentioned it again today.

I called Barbara Reynolds because she is still out sick today.

It was raining so Helen and I had lunch in the company cafeteria. I only sold two custom calling features. I had my full share of "rotten" customers today, too. I trust that tomorrow will be better.

After work I drove to Oak Knoll Hospital to see Chris Cordellos. He appeared happy to see me.
"I was looking forward to your visit," Chris said.
He made me laugh.
"Yeah, the medical staff loves me," he said with a smile.
This didn't surprise me because he has a flair of charm that will perk people up. I remained with Chris, rapping about music, my day and his pain until 7:30pm. It was nice seeing him again (even if it was in a hospital).

When I arrived home I called my Dad and was pleasantly surprised when my Mom answered.
"What? You didn't go to work today and didn't tell me" I exclaimed.
I rushed over and munched on two mini-hamburgers. We watched a bit of the Winter Olympics.

I told mom that I had gone to Oak Knoll Hospital to see my friend, Chris.
She shared her prediction of Sherri having a baby girl.

While at mom's I brought my mail and filled out a $5000 credit limit preferred Citicorp Bank VISA application. I left and am her now--at my home--collecting my thoughts.

I never did call Jerry Chalmers. Should I? I haven't called Paloma or Tammy lately. They haven't bothered to call me either (nor has Nancy).
"The hell with them," I thought to myself.

Chris Cordellos seems to me the number one 'cool cat' as of late. I will call him again now. He's on a hospital bed, so he'll surely answer. After the phone call I have come to the conclusion that Chris really likes me a lot. I can't quite explain or 'figure' what it is about him me that he finds so extra special. I love to hear his complements. I believe there is something special in everyone (even when you have to dig deep to find it).

I believe that 'whatever I have' shines out more to certain individuals than others. Chris and I concluded our chat and I began reading him parts of 'the beginnings' of my journal. I was ready to reveal more insight of 'me' to 'him'.
Who knows where the path will lead?

John Armijo, my brother, returned home. He started asking me about his old baseball cards. I didn't have the heart to tell him. I had sold them for $25 to Stan Panenka, a college friend in Sacramento. That's ancient history. They had been stored in a closet for years and now he asks about them. What gives?

I watched a bit of "The Dove" with John. I hit the sack, thinking about the charismatic Chris (and of course, wondering about the ever busy Nancy).

Is It the Right Job For You ?

Posted on 09:14 by Unknown

"With courage you will dare to take risks, have the strength to be compassionate and the wisdom to be humble. Courage is the foundation of integrity."
-Keshavan Nair

I was browsing through an old issue of Businessweek (May 2007) this morning. There is a Jack and Suzy Welch column that I happened to notice. For those of you who don't know, Jack Welch was the Chairman and CEO of General Electric from 1981-2001.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Welch
An anonymous person in Luxembourg wrote in about a dilemma of having two job offers. Both jobs paid the same but one opportunity was with a respected company, unpleasant co-workers and the passion for the work was very high. The other opportunity was with a so-so company with very pleasant and wonderful co-workers but the passion for the work was mediocre.

In the Businessweek column Jack and Suzy Welch shared five key questions that the person needed to ponder:

1. Will the new job be filled with co-workers who share my sensibilities, or will I have to zone out or fake it to get along?

2. Will the new job stretch my mind and build my skills, and otherwise take me out of my comfort zone, or am I entering at the top of my game?

3. Will the new job open or close doors for me should I ever leave?

4. Will the new job turn my crank, touch my soul, and give me meaning?

5. Who am I making happy by taking this job, and am I OKAY with that bargain
?

Fast forward to today and I wonder who is fortunate enough to have two job offers. There seems to be no wrong choice in the example above--just your own ability to understand.

I ate breakfast at mom's today. After fueling my stomach I went for a lengthy bicycle ride that started at 11am and ended at 4pm (give or take). I believe I earned my breakfast. It was a sorrowful moment when my bicycle started to squeak during each rotation. I will have to look into this on Saturday. I may have to take it in to Joe's Bike Shop. I hate a "squeaky wheel".

I called Chris Cordellos, my new Greek friend. His mother answered the phone.
"Oh, Hi, could you just tell Chris that Michael Armijo called?" I asked politely.
Chris hasn't called me since January 30th (last Monday). I was beginning to wonder about his back problem and the possible surgery he had to endure. His mother didn't mention any major issues, so I assumed all was okay. If Chris did call me he neglected to leave a message on my answering machine. I don't know what to make of it.

Mom was a little 'pissed off' because I didn't help her by washing her car today. I was so "biked out" that I promised to make up for it. I went home to nap. Mom called later and we had a good chat.

John and Sherri arrived and I watched the 1981 film, "On Golden Pond", with them.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvHTLc02XUY
I was happy my brother and potential future sister-in-law came over when they did. I wanted some company.

No one called me. Not even __________ or ___________. Neutral feelings I guess. I kind of wish Nancy would call...but I say, "It's your loss, honey."

Two Drifters...Off To See The World

Posted on 14:36 by Unknown

'There may be trouble ahead,
But while there's moonlight and music
And love and romance,
Let's face the music and dance.'

I read the above line in a greeting card I purchased here:
www.redbubble.com/people/redcow/art/2086228-3-face-the-music

'The Moon' seems to be the subject today as my dear cousin, John Earl Spencer, sent me a music video of Audrey Hepburn, singing 'Moon River'.
http://search.live.com/video/results.aspx?q=moon%20river%2C%20audrey%20hepburn&docid=343789011296&FORM=VIVP
I have been listening to it 'off and on' all day. It soothes my mood. I love the lyrics to this song. Dare I admit it? I have never seen the classic film 'Breakfast At Tiffany's'.

This last Sunday was a turning point economically. I am now a member of NETFLIX. Yes, it is true. I received my first three films today (Tuesday). That was fast. When in NY the cost to see a movie has escalated to $12.50. Outrageous. And so...let's see how things go. Please comment with any of your favorite film recommendations. I just added "Breakfast At Tiffany's" to my que.

January 13, 1984

It is Friday the 13th. It was not all that bad a day for me as I recall the events of the day. Or was it?

Right after my Friday workday I drove into San Francisco from Downtown Oakland. Gilbert was not at his apartment when I arrived. I waited and he showed up within a half hour or so. Gilbert appeared with Natasha, the model, and Geoffrey (some very effeminate black fellow who was visiting from Sacramento). Can you believe I did it? I became a voluntary chauffeur, driving them to the San Francisco Airport. It was an educational driving overview as I had not done the drive to the San Francisco airport in some time.

It was funny when Natasha was held up by security. She had a small golden cigarette lighter that is the shape of a miniature hand gun. It was amusing. They almost wouldn't give her lighter back. I don't know how she could carry a lighter in the shape of a gun anyway. We didn't have time to have a drink in the lounge because of the time constraints. Her flight departed for Los Angeles at 8pm.

When we finally found my car in the parking lot we headed back into The City. I waited patiently for Gilbert and Geoffrey as they fussed and dressed, trying to make themselves look all pretty. After 'brushing up' a bit we headed for the I-BEAM on Haight Street. It's the hot, "mixed clientele" place for dancing in San Francisco.

We arrived a tad early. Things don't start popping until 11pm. The club was not as crowded and the "vibes" were not to my liking. Gilbert was dancing alone on the stage for most of the night. Geoffrey danced a lot 'on the stage' platform, too. I danced a few times with a girl named Ann Voyerera from Vermont. She was "okay". I stood around for a long while until I decided to ask a sleazy looking broad to dance.
"...maybe in about ten minutes," the sleazy broad replied to my dance offer.
That kind of "tee'd me off". And so, I stood around like some wall flower.

Then this guy started to talk to me a bit about the music and the atmosphere. His name is Chris Cordellos. As we were in conversation the most apropos song started to play, "The Chauffeur" by DURAN DURAN.
http://search.live.com/video/results.aspx?q=the%20chauffeur%2C%20duran%20duran&docid=536781914492&FORM=VIVP7
We both agreed that it wasn't an easy song to dance with...though good for listening.

Chris is originally from the Sonoma valley area. He said he now lives in Concord. He was dressed in a somewhat "high-fashion" sort of way. He had naturally curled dirty blonde hair and green eyes. We continued with some good conversation about music when we both mutually decided to take a walk for some fresh air. The dance floor was getting more and more crowded as the night progressed.

While walking with Chris I decided to ditch Gilbert and his chum, Geoffrey. We walked along and he brought up the subject of cars.
