Shadow Of A Doubt

His motivation for making paintings and photographs wasn't fame or riches: his pleasure in the act of creating,
"the thing itself", was reward enough.

Sunday
Today was a fast-flash of a day.
I did some early morning cycling. This was followed by a visit to JC Penney with mom, Sherri and Ashley at South Shore Center in Alameda. Sherri had to exchange a baby stroller.

What a safety hazard!
After that pitstop we stopped over in North Oakland to pick-up Karyn Kossoff. Karyn happily agreed to come along after I had invited her yesterday.
We all went to Concord to see the new Savoir Faire Ice-Cream shop. It was a lot of fun. It was easy to find a parking space. I liked that fact. I took a series of photos the summed up the day. I can't wait to see them.

Then we all went to Sun Valley Mall in Concord to browse for a while.
Eventually, I dropped mom, Sherri and Ashley off at mom's house.

Karyn Kossoff and I continued on to Berkeley where we saw a double-feature: 'A Shadow of a Doubt' along with Hitchcock's 'Rear Window'.
I was in bed by 11:30PM. It was a fun-filled day. There was not time for a "breather". It was pouring down rain for a good part of the time. I just hated the driving.
"In my village there were no movies or television, or even any organized sports there, so eating and drinking (and sex, evidently) were their main diversions."
