Can I give you my number?"

Say! It's time to cut your 'Red Meat Consumption' and go for the 'White Meat'. WebMD reported the following on March 23, 2009:
Men and women who eat higher amounts of red meat and processed meat have a higher risk of dying from cancer, heart disease, and other causes compared to those who eat less, according to a new ten-year study by University of North Carolina School of Public Health supported by the National Cancer Institute.
Possible reasons:
1. The meats are a source of carcinogens formed during cooking.
2. The iron in red meat may increase oxidative cell damage, leading to health problems.
3. The saturated fat found in meat has been linked with breast and colorectal cancer.
In contrast, the intake of white meat was often protective, with those eating the most having a slightly lower risk for overall and cancer deaths.

Sunday
Today I awoke at approximately 9AM and I got ready and went for an exhilarating bike ride. It was most enjoyable. The whirlwind ride ended in front of mom and dad's doorstep where I enjoyed a Sunday morning breakfast.
I telephoned Sherri and invited her to Bay Fair Shopping Mall for some Christmas shopping. She agreed. By the time she was ready it was 1:30PM. While I was waiting I heard an ad on The QUAKE radio 105.3 station about a shop in San Francisco. So I came up with the idea of just driving into The City; whereby, Sherri and I spent a lot of time looking for the right parking space.
I found a few neat things in a few neat shops. I kept reminding myself that I was not shopping for myself! I saw Bruce near a shop on Market Street (near Castro) and I pretended NOT to notice the freak. Ugh!
Sherri and I went to MACY's in San Francisco for a brief browse of a few minutes. Then we stopped at SAFEWAY where Sherri bought some chocolate-chip cookies. We had fun spending the day together.
I proceeded over to Mom's house where I had some of her homemade M&M cookies. Then I came back to my pad to nap.
I called Bob Umland at 8:30PM (when I awoke from the nap). To my dismay, his cousin (supposedly) answered the phone. I could hear Bob's voice in the background.
"Are you sure it's for me?"
And when Bob took the phone he said, "Oh Mike! I'll call you back because I'm just about to eat dinner."
I did not like his abrupt nonchalant nature a bit. Furthermore, as far as I'm concerned if he really wanted to he'd make the time. I say "later" for that creep and his insensitivity. I know if I was about to eat I'd prolong a moment of conversation and talk to him if he had called me. Forget it! Some good friend!
I telephoned mom and she said, "I taped a really good Hallmark Hall of Fame movie called CAMILLE, so if you want to see it...come over."
And so, I went over to view it. It was excellent. I loved it! CAMILLE was based on the 1852 novel and play La Dame aux Camélias by Alexandre Dumas. It starred a lot of British actors like Greta Scacchi, Colin Firth, John Gielgud, Billie Whitelaw, Patrick Ryecart, Denholm Elliott and Ben Kingsley.
I recall two great lines from the flick:
"In time...all things will heal themselves."
AND
"New loves come and go."
They both seem so true.
The movie was quite romantic. I am really glad I saw it. It wouldn't have been worth it to sit around at my pad and wait for a five-minute call back from Bob Umland!
Deborah Kerr: "This is the boundary of my little world."
Cary Grant: "It's a perfect world. Thank you for letting me trespass."
