It's the New Year of 2009 and the gym is busier than usual. That's how it is. We all start out good and then we fade by the years' end. Not me...we have to remember it is a 'way of life' to exercise and eat right.
I was happy I made it to the gym (for the first time this year). I was on the 'lateral raise' machine working my deltoids when this song 'Boys Don't Cry' by THE CURE started. Why do they do that? Do they know how to ruin my workout or what? I think the song was trying to give me a message during my third 'set'.

I found a link that lists notable people who are turning fifty years old this year.
Interesting:

When I was twenty I thought 'fifty' was old. It's a whole new ballgame now. We are as young as we feel. I saw a barista in Starbucks the other day who was obviously in his mid-twenties but he looked forty...go figure?

I wanted to see GALAXINA BARBARELLA and FLASH GORDON tonight but it looks like I am not going to do that after all.
I called Kevin Ward (the fellow who works at SCOTTS MODELS) and I arranged a casual meeting with him at 7pm.
I had a brainstorm idea to take a bunch of photographs and get them quickly developed. I had my mom take a bunch of shots of me. I figured a couple of them had to come out good. I took the film to PRESTO PRINTS in San Leandro for quick service developing. While I was waiting a nice gentleman started to educate me about some vitamins at the Health For Vitamin Store next door.
"I'll come by next weekend," I told the Vitamin man.
Who knows? Maybe I will look into the vitamins he was talking about.
Some of the pictures mom took were 'half-way decent'. What a surprise.
I went bicycling along the beach. I had a voice mail message from Suzy Miller, so I called her back. We talked a bit and I persuaded her into coming over again for a movie called THE GIFT OF LOVE, starring Marie Osmond.

Suzy enjoyed the film to the point that tears came to her eyes. Too cute.
My folks dropped by and gave me an ironing board. Just what I needed... Suzy was so impressed she left to get the same ironing board. I guess there was a major deal going on them in Alameda.
At that point I realized I had to hit the road for the casual meeting/interview with Kevin. I found his home and met his mom, sister and wife. I looked through his wifes' portfolio. It was fairly interesting to see. He said he thought I had potential but politely suggested I rid myself of my moustache. He gave me the telephone number of some agent who runs a firm called International Modeling Agency. As it stands I am to call him and 'go from there'.
I dropped over at Suzy Miller's apartment to give her the update. Then we went to my pad again to eat more of her homemade quesadillas. I guess she likes preparing them in my kitchen. We tried watching THE GUIDE FOR A MARRIED MAN starring Walter Matthau.

And then we switched to THIS PROPERTY IS CONDEMNED starring Natalie Wood.

I started to fall asleep, so I drove Suzy home. It was funny because I didn't feel like changing so I drove her home while wearing only my robe. That was it for the night.
