"A woman should never be seen eating or drinking, unless it be lobster salad and Champagne, the only true feminine and becoming viands."
-Lord Byron,
the poet
Face it! When you hear the word twitter don't you think of a series of chirps? You know those high-pitched sounds that come from birds. The word twitter has recently become little chirps from peoples' lives.
What is all this twitter talk about? I just started my "tweets" a week or so ago. A friend of mine (Tyler Franks) suggested it as a mechanism for tidbit notes for an eventual reference source for your very own book. I liked the sound of that and decided to 'jump on the bandwagon'. I am now finding myself thinking of what "tweet" I shall announce each day. It can be random or it can be something everyone can learn from. A "tweet" is simply text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length on 'whatever subject' you are doing or thinking at that given moment.

Twitter is a free social messaging utility for staying connected in real-time.
Even our new President offers brief 'tweet' reports on what he's doing and thinking.
A February 2009 Compete.com blog entry ranks Twitter as the third largest social network. MySpace would be second and Facebook would be the largest in the world. Twitter puts the number of users at roughly 6 million and the number of monthly visitors at 55 million.
The only problem I see thus far from Twitter is that you could easily enter an "Information Overload" world. It is best to be selective of who and 'how many' you choose to FOLLOW. It's okay to have millions be a FOLLOWER of you but I'd rather pick and choose who I am interested in following. For example, I like following Bill Gates, Top Wine News, The Charlie Rose Show, Anderson Cooper, Paulo Coelho and personal friends that have profound things to say. Be selective. You have a choice and you cannot be bothered.

Chris and I had planned to see "Gregory's Girl" (the movie) but we got sidetracked. We drove to Berkeley for a small pizza and heard Nena Hagen singing
"99 RED BALLOONS".

The movie was to start at 7pm and our timing was off; therefore, we passed on the movie idea and went for a cheesecake dessert at Barney's. Yummy!
We soon found ourselves at Croll's on Webster Street in Alameda with a not-too-exciting crowd. I knew the Irish coffee was all the rave there, so we had to try it out. We left for The Royal Pub to try an Irish coffee there. We were both ID'd at this place. Chris was thrilled, having just turned 21 yesterday.
We relaxed at a nature setting on Harbor Bay Isle overlooking the San Francisco Bay. It was a romantic, memorable and soothing night. It made me think of "On Golden Pond" (for some reason).
We refrained from watching Joan Rivers when we returned to my pad. Instead we went upstairs to my bedroom. It was tight and exciting. When Chris left for the evening we both felt a tad sad at the idea of departing.

Oh yes, Paige Labris called, too. She confirmed her visit and stay this coming weekend. We plan to go to Santa Cruz if the weather is nice.
