“Your grace overwhelms me.
Your words touch me.
They are the greatest gift.
Greater than any riches.”
-Jonathan Rhys Myers,
The Tudors
Season I, Episode 2
Significant words have been shared with me by others that I would like to post here on my BLOG from time to time. Here are a few for today:
Thank you ‘Dustin Nipper’:

Thank you Joseph Fingerett:

Thank you Barbara Louise Reynolds:
"Man's main task in life is to give birth to himself, to become what he potentially is."
– Erich Fromm
“Some mornings I wake up with an alien on my face.”

We possess within us a force of incalculable power, which, if ...we direct it in a conscious and wise manner, gives us the mastery of ourselves and allows us not only to escape... from physical and mental ills, but also to live in relative happiness.
-Emile Coue

Sunday
I received a phone call at about 10AM. It was Chris Cordellos.
“I’m ready to go,” Chris said.
And so, I drove out to Concord and we headed to L.A.
We ate at Wendy’s in Lompoc, California. Then we drove through a town called Guadalupe that made us laugh (for some reason). I had a few spats with Chris during the drive down. It was silly but he wanted to repeatedly hear the ‘Culture Club’ tune “I’ll Tumble for Ya” and I didn’t want to hear it. It's too 'gay' for me.

In addition, it made me feel like I was 'tumbling for him'. Chris talked a lot about the good time he had yesterday with Elliot and Clay at the nude beach. I could see it all now. Chris enjoyed his freedom. For some reason, his relationship with me makes him feel he is not free to do as he pleases. He wants to explore and he ‘can and will’. He has to know that we will only be friends. He has to understand that fact.
We arrived in Los Angeles at about 9:45 at night. We drove through Santa Monica Boulevard where we saw the nightclub called ‘Rage’. We went there and danced the night away. We both worked up a sweat (from all of the soft drinks we had driving down here). We went to BLADES for a while, too (another club).
And thereafter we did something unusual. It was Chris’ idea to sleep on the beach. We slept on Venice Beach! It was kind of dirty on the beach after the Sunday gatherings I suppose. We found a clean spot and fell asleep quickly.
It was a very short dream when we both woke up startled by the noise. We woke to a giant colossal tractor that was combing the beach at around 5AM! I guess that is when they clean the beaches. It was not the best of a nights’ sleep…let me tell you. I am hoping the next few nights are better.
